Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services today announced that Suzanne Petren Moritz will serve as the new chief executive officer of subsidiary Market News International (MNI), effective today. Ms. Petren Moritz brings more than a decade of experience in the areas of market intelligence solutions and business information publishing to MNI. She will be based in New York.
Michael Connor has decided to step down as MNI’s CEO to pursue other opportunities. He had established MNI as a leading provider of news and insights in the global foreign exchange and fixed income markets. Mr. Connor’s last day will be 31 January 2015 once the transition period is complete.

Prior to joining MNI, Ms. Petren Moritz had a distinguished career at LexisNexis, a leading global provider of content and technology solutions, culminating in her most recent role as Vice President and Managing Director, Lexis Practice Advisor and Knowledge Mosaic. In this position, she was responsible for several key information businesses that deliver web-based practical guidance content and analytical tools for attorneys practicing in M&A, Securities, Banking, Real Estate and related areas.
Previously, she held several top marketing, strategy and operations roles in the company, including Senior Vice President, Global Solutions Architecture and New Lexis Program and Vice President, U.S. Legal Markets Strategy and Operations.
Ms. Petren Moritz has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and philosophy and an MBA from Harvard University. She is fluent in English and Swedish.
